Project history

Advanced Hajen class in which for the account of slightly increased dimensions fuel stowage and surface endurance were increased. They become outdated to the beginning of WW II.

Modernizations

none.

Naval service

Illern was lost 12.8.1943 as a result of collision with m/s Birkaland in Kalmar straight, salvaged 1.9.1943 but never repaired and sold for BU in 1944.
