Project history

Design of Wale class destroyers represented almost exact copy of destroyer Magne, built in 1905 by Thornycroft. More strong armament consisted of two 75mm and four 57mm (instead of six 57mm) guns became unique difference from a prototype. In total six ships were built from which last pair has been equipped by steam turbines, and number of 75mm guns, for account of deleting 57mm, has increased to four. On trials Munin achieved 33.16kts at 10 330hp.
