Project history
Modeled after the USN Bolster class but is much larger. Has telescoping hydraulic cranes fore and aft. Can lay and recover a four-point mooring. Carries two LCVP-type workboats. Equipped for ocean towing. Hull sides are heavily reinforced with rubbing strakes.
