This last unit of the G132 group was propelled by an experimental Parsons turbine set consisting of one high-pressure, two low-pressure, one cruising and two reverse turbines. Hull dimensions were therefore increased compared with the VTE boats, as was speed, armament and crew. Coal consumption was 2 tons per hour higher than in the VTE boats, but 40 tons less than in the following VTE boats S138-149.
