First-ever armoured motor gunboats. Intended for Amur flotilla. Deck house, sides and deck were protected by bulletproof 7.9mm nickel-steel armour. Armament consisted from mod. 1904 76mm mountain gun.

Boats served on Baltic were abandoned by spring 1918 in Finland in damaged condition, fate of Black Sea boats is unknown. Far-Eastern boats were in 1918 captured by Japanese, but in 1920-1925 returned and repaired.
