Project history

Ordered in 2012 (first 6) and 2014 (6 more) for Naval Expeditionary Combat Command's coastal riverine force. Intended for conducting maritime security operations and coastal security patrol duties. Armament fit includes 2 stabilized gunmounts (1 fwd, 1 aft) for 1 Mk 38 Mod. 2 gun and 1 remotely operated small-arms mount that can support 1 Mk 19 40mm grenade launcher, Mk 44 GAU-17 mini-gun, 12.7mm, 7.62mm or 5.56mm MG. Diesels can burn either marine-grade diesel oil or JP-5 aviation fuel.
