Project history

Replacement of the PB Mk III boats, replacing earlier SWCM and PCM projects. Planned programme of 16 units was stopped in 1991 partly because they were too large.

Modernizations

1999-2000, Tempest, Zephyr, Shamal; 2009-2010, Hurricane, Monsoon, Squall, Whirlwind, Thunderbolt: were lengthened as PC14 and also received stern ramp for RIB.

2016-2017, some: + 1 x 4 Griffin SSM (4 BGM-176B) (temporarily)

Fate Notes

No significant events.
