Project history
Scout type gunboat. Designed for coast guard work in the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. She was brigantine rigged, had a sail area of 480m2. One 65mm gun was mounted fore, one aft and two others amidships in sponsons. The TT was in the bow above the water

Naval service
Marmaris was scuttled at Basra after being disabled on 2 June 1915 by the British sloop Odin S of Amara on the River Tigris.
