Project history

Built under the 1929 programme in Italy. Design was developed on base of Italian destroyer Folgore, being her slightly moderated version. External changes were minimum, the most significant one was number of funnels (two instead of one). Moderate requirements of customer concerning speed have allowed to lower machinery power on 20%.

Modernizations

1942, both: + 2 x 1 - 20/70 Oerlikon Mk II/IV, 4 DCT

Naval service

No significant events.
