Project history

Built under Turkish order in France, sister-ships of French destroyers of Durandal class. To WWI beginning they become outdated and because of bad machinery maintenance did not have battle value (in 1915 they made no more than 17kts).

Modernizations

None.

Naval service

Yarhisar was sunk 3.12.1915 by British submarine E11 in sea of Marmara. Remaining ships in October, 1918 were laid up at Istanbul, but 1924-1925 repaired and commissioned again. They were handed over on demolition only in 1949.
