Project history

Former US LST class tank landing ships. All had tripod masts (Angthong recieved it in Thai service).

Modernizations

1960s, Anthong: - 1 x 1 - 40/60, 8 x 1 - 20/70; + 1 x 2 - 40/60

1970s, Angthong, Phangan, Lanta, Prathong: + 2 x 1 - 20/85 GAM-B01

1970s, Chang: + 2 x 1 - 12.7/90

1990s, all: radar was replaced by Decca TM1229

Naval service

No significant events.
