Project history

Former USN DET (Cannon) class destroyer escorts. In 1949 all four ships escaped to Taiwan. Armament was strengthened before commission.

Modernizations

1960s, all: - 4 x 1 - 76/50, 7 x 1 - 20/70, 8 DCT; + 2 x 1 - 127/38 Mk 30, 4 x 1 - 40/60 Mk 3, 2 x 3 - 324 TT, 1 x 24 - 178 Hedgehog Mk 11 ASWRL
