Project history

Development of Norrköping class. Armament can be variable to suit mission: mines can be carried instead of half of SSMs, all SSMs can be replaced by 4 400mm TT.

Modernizations

2002, Malmö; 2003, Stockholm: were re-engined with 1 Vericor TF50 gas turbine + 2 MTU 16V396 TB94 diesels (5440+5280=10720hp), complement become 33; - 2 x 2 RBS-15 SSM, 2 - 533 TT, 1 x 1 - 40/70, 9LV200 Mk 2 radar, SA950 sonar, EWS-905 ECM suite, 2x Philax decoy RL, MARIL 880 CCS; + 2 - 400 TT (Tp45), 9GR400 radar, Hydra sonar, CS-5460 ECM suite, MASS decoy RL, CETRIS 9LVMk 3E CCS
