Project history

Ordered in 1989 for use as offshore patrol vessels. A planned fifth unit was not ordered. Design based on the Águila class for the Mexican Navy. Originally referred to as the Milano class while under construction. Platform for an AB-212-sized helicopter but no hangar. Carry two rigid inflatable inspection boats and have three 80-m³/hr firefighting pumps. The 76mm gun, from surplus stocks, is controlled by an Alcor-C optronic director or locally.

Modernizations

None.
