Project history

Patrol ships with modular armament, for coastal service. Designed to perform the border patrol for the protection of the territorial waters and EEZ in deep and shallow waters, anti-smuggling and -piracy duties, search and rescue service, environmental monitoring, escorting, as well as protection of naval bases and sea areas in wartime. SSMs and SAMs are mounted in replaceable modules. Order of 6 more ships is planned for completion in 2020s. Ship carries one project 22800 assault boat launched via stern ramp.
