Project was developed by Vulkan taking into account lacks of Ukraina class project. In particular, hull proportions were changed and displacement was increased, that allowed to improve seagoing capacities and to increase endurance. Boilers number was moderated to four, and each of them was installed in separate boiler room. Rated as torpedo cruisers, since September, 1907 as destroyers.

Okhotnik was stricken by German mine and has sunk in Irbensky channel (Gulf of Riga) 26.9.1917.
SibirskiyStrelok, renamed Konstruktor, was used as training and a test ship. Since 31.12.1939 Konstruktor served at Naval Institute as test ship. 1.8.1941 she was armed and 3.8.1941 returned to the Navy as patrol. 4.11.1941 Konstruktor was hard damaged by Finnish bombers (fore end was broken off) and has sunk at Osinovets (Lake Ladoga). She was raised, repaired and 13.4.1943 commissioned again as gunboat. 3.1.1945 Konstruktor was disarmed and converted to test ship and in May, 1956 to heating vesselOT-29.
