Project history

USN river gunboat Wake was captured in Shanghai 8.12.1941 by IJN and 15.12.1941 entered service in IJN as Tatara.

Modernizations

1944 - 1945: - 10 x 1 - 7.7/80; + 13 - 25/60 96-shiki

1945: disarmed

Naval service

In 1945 China received Tatara at Shanghai.
