Project history

IJN ordered 20 10m, probably 3 13m, 1140 15m, 3229 14m and 163 17m type landing crafts. All had steel hull, except wooden 15m craft. Most were fitted with bow ramps, apart from 10m type with motorboat-type hull.

Modernizations

1945, some Daihatsu 14-m: were converted to ASW craft with armament consisted of 2 x 1 - 25/60 96-shiki, 1 DCR (4) or to MTB (1 x 1 - 13.2/76, 2 - 533 TT)
