Project history

Cruiser of the out-of-date British design, built by Turkish order as Drama, but after beginning of Italian-Turkish war of 1911 she was requisitioned, and commissioned as "4th class battleship" Libia, later she was classified as scout and from 1929 as cruiser. On the elements construction was close to Turkish cruisers Hamidiye and Mejidiye.

Ship protection

Main protection consisted of deck with 100mm slopes.
