Project history

Gaff schooner rigged vessels designed by Eng Insp Benedetto Brin.

Modernizations

1890, both: new armament consisted of 5 x 1 - 57/43 N, 2 x 1 - 25/41 N

1898, both: reboilered

Naval service

In 1912 Barbarigo became a gunnery TS; from 1913 she served as a depot ship at Genoa until sold for scrapping in 1916.
