Project history
Three ordered in 2000, with an option for a fourth and fifth later taken up. Revised version of the Saettia as modified for Guardia Costiera work; have flush deck, cleared aft for helicopter hovering access. Non-retractable fin stabilizers are fitted. Carry an Achille M-4 remotely operated surveillance submersible with a 300m operating depth.
