Training ship with frigate characteristics of Yugoslav design, first of three ordered for Yugoslavian (never completed), Indonesian and Iraqi navies. Differed from semi-sisters by absence of helicopter pad.

During the Iran-Iraq war Ibn Khaldoum was used as a transport. In February 1991 she was caught at Basra by allied forces and was seriously damaged. Later ship was never repaired and abandoned.
