Project history

Modified Nilgiri with larger helicopter (Sea King) in the telescopic hangar and TTs and Bofors ASWRL on forecastle instead of the Limbo. Also they received new sonar and ECM.

Naval service

Vindhyagiri collided 30.1.2011 with a m/v Nord Lake  at Mumbai harbour, fired and sank. She was salvaged 15.2.2011 but never repaired and officially stricken 14.6.2012.
