Project history

Mine depot ship, formerly SS Gettysburg (ex-Walrus) bought in 1880. 870 tons, 91.2x9.2m, 500hp, 14kts. She was armed with 2 120mm Krupp guns, 2 37 mm Hotchkiss revolver guns, 4 356mm torpedo tubes and mines.

Naval service

Seized in December 1916 by the French, returned in 1918 she was placed on the sale list in 1921, sold in 1923 as a merchant ship, BU 1933 in Italy.
