Project history

 Former Italian submarine Giuseppe Finzi, captured 9.9.1943 at Bordeaux after capitulation of Italy, 14.10.1943 she entered German service as UIT21. There is an unchecked information about converting of Giuseppe Finzi to transport submarine in Italian navy.

Modernizations

1943: artillery consisted of 1 x 2 - 20/65 C/38; + FuMO 30 radar, FuMB 3 Bali, FMB 6 Palau ECM suites

Naval service

UIT21 was scuttled at Bordeaux 25.8.1944.
