Project history

Iron-hulled, barquentine-rigged colonial gunboats, considered very good under sail and as seaboats.

Modernizations

Naval service

Möwe remained as a hulk at Tsingtau until sold in 1910. Adler was lost in Apia harbour during the Calliope typhoon 16.3.1889.
