Project history

Fishery trawlers, purchased by Navy during building and commissioned as auxiliary patrols.

Modernizations

Claus Wish, 1939; Elmshorn, 1940; Dortmund, 1941: were re-armed with 1 x 1 - 88/42 SK C/30, 1 x 1 - 37/80 SK C/30, 2 x 1 - 20/65 C/38, 2 DCR.

Naval service

Einswarden 1.12.1918 was mined in German Bight.

V2004 was sunk on mine 2.6.1944 off Hook van Holland, salvaged and towed to Rotterdam for repair but repair was incomplete. V1808 was mined 23.5.1942 off Hoofden. V704 was foundered during a storm 30.12.1939 W off Smyge Hook.
