Project history

The Lürssen-designed 'Schnellboot 60', now Type 142, was a modified version of the Type 140/141. They differed from the foregoing classes in having additional superstructure aft of the bridge, which was tested earlier in Geier, a more streamlined bridge and masts of a different shape. A further ten projected boats were not built.
