Project history

A coast defence battleship with an amidships belt and the 26cm guns in fore and aft single barbettes.

Ship protection

The belt was 295mm between barbettes (175mm abreast barbettes), the deck was 53mm, it has turtleback forms at ship ends.

Modernizations

1906: - 4 x 1 - 120/27, 2 - 356 TT; + 8 x 1 - 57/40 M.1885
