Four more 'repeat Restigouche' were ordered m 1957, but the opportunity was taken to improve habitability and provide better pre-wetting and better bridge and weatherdeck fittings to cope with extreme cold. Originally they were rated as DDs, like the Restigouche class, but they carry DDE pennant numbers.
