Project history

lncorporated a number of improvements as compared with the earlier Sutjeska class, particularly in the shape of the hull and conning tower. Equipped with Soviet sensors and armament.

Modernizations

None.

Naval service

Heroj was reported as having suffered accidental damage in 1982 and returned to service only in 1986. In March 1993 Heroj and Uskok were laid up due of lack of batteries and spare parts.
