Project history

27.10.1938 Yugoslavian Government ordered to Germaniaweft in Kiel two submarines. Their data in the literature are inconsistent: on one sources, they there were medium submarines close to German boats of VIIB series, on another small submarines of IIB series. Though boats have been laid down 1.6.1940 and 15.9.1940, however already 19.9.1940 contract on circumstances of a wartime was terminated by German party.
