Project history

This class suffered from many problems, primarily due to their light construction. Ships were air conditioned in living and command spaces. Original 4'' main battery was fully automatic and radar controlled. Originally ships of class were rated as light destroyers, after rebuilding two ships were reclassified as frigates.
