Project history

Trawlers were purchased by Admiralty, used mostly for ASW role. Data was as follows: dimensions (42.7 - 45.9) x (7.47 - 7.77) x (3.51 - 3.66) m, machinery 1 VTE, 1 cylindrical boiler, 600hp, 11 - 12kts, complement 18. All had additionally 3 MGs, 2 DCT and 2 DCR.

Naval service

Amethyst was mined, Jasper was sunk by German MTB S81, Tourmaline, Coral and Jade were bombed by German aircraft.
