Project history

Ordered in 2011. Primarily intended for amphibious assault operations with secondary humanitarian assistance, medical, and disaster relief roles. Draft has been listed as less than 2m forward, less than 5m aft at full load. Monohull design with steel construction. Able to transport 1180t of vehicles or cargo without performance penalties at a top speed of 18kts. Capable of operating without restriction through Sea State 5; operational restrictions at Sea State 6 or higher. Able to conduct helicopter operations in conditions up to and including Sea State 4.
