Project history

Four units of the MEKO 200TN Track I design were ordered in April 1983. Two were built in West Germany, whilst Blohm & Voss provided technical assistance for the second pair to be built at the Gölçuk NSY. AB-212 helicopters with Sea Skua ASM will be replaced by S70B Seahawks with Hellfire-II ASMs.
