Project history

Former Italian minelayer Lepanto, scuttled by own crew at Shanghai 9.9.1943. In February, 1944 she was salvaged by Japanese and in March commissioned as gunboat. Okitsu was 21.3.1945 hard damaged by American Army aircraft, in August, 1945 she surrendered to Allies and transferred to China. In 1949 the ship escaped to Taiwan.
