Project history

Monitors for the outer defence of the archipelagos, differed from Gerda class only in details. Ulf had her single gun on the aft deck to support possible retreat of squadron.

Modernizations

1887, all: + 2 x 1 - 25/32 K/35 M77

1896-1909, all: CT with 254mm sides was added; - 1 x 1 - 240/18, 2 x 1 - 25/32; + 1 x 1 - 120/44 K/45 M94, 2 x 1 - 57/50 K/55 M89
