Ship project history: Destructor had two raked funnels abreast, three hinged masts and light 19mm splinter plating abreast the machinery and on the CT. She was one of the very first ships to have TE machinery. Service speed was nearer 20kts.

Ship protection: 19mm belt protected machinery.
