Project history

In 1938 in Barcelona attempt of building of MTBs on one`s own under guidance of Soviet experts has been undertaken. As a basis for the project developed under guidance of engineer Negri, G-5 type MTB was chosen. Two boats were completed, proved as extremely whimsical.

Naval service

Both boats were commissioned by Republican fleet (registered for March, 1938), but actually were not used, and by late 1938 were laid up.
