Project history

French Combattante IIIB design, ordered in 1977. Did not leave France until 9.5.1982 when Nigeria completed payment.

Modernizations

early 2000s, all: - 4 x 1 MM38 SSM (missiles were time-expired)

Naval service

Siri was inoperable and used for cannibalization from 1995 to 2003 but was again active by 2005.
