Project history

British destroyer Garland of G class, served under Polish flag in 1940-1946 and transferred to the Netherlands in 1947.

Modernizations

1948-1949: - 2 x 1 - 120/45, 2 x 1 - 57/47, 1 x 4 - 533 TT, 2 DCT, 1 DCR; + 2 x 1 - 105/45 SK C/32

Naval service

In 1948 Marnix became ASW training ship but was rated as frigate.
