Project history

Large anti-submarine boats for service in the Dutch East Indies, having also the minesweeping equipment. Under the design, they should be equipped by diesels, but on a number of data, at building they received aviation petrol motors from discarded aircrafts. Boats were built on colonial shipyards, and to the beginning of the Japanese intrusion only lead B1 was launched. All boats were captured by Japanese, 7 from them were commissioned by IJN as auxiliary chasers Cha103, 105-108, 114 and 115.
