Project history

Ordered by the Italian Navy from a yard of her then ally Germany. Her German data were 237/318t; contractual speed 12kts/7.3kts. Her pressure hull was very strong, and the boat reached a high surface speed thanks to the shape of her outer casing, with lines similar to those of a torpedo-boat, so modified by the Italian Navy.

Modernizations

None.

Naval service

No significant events.
