Project history

'Modified Flower' corvette, transferred to the USN as Prudent and returned to RN after WWII. In 1947 she was purchased by Italian merchant shipping company as Elbano but in 1949 sold to Italian Navy. Soon after commission the conversion to survey vessel was started.

Survey vessel Staffetta was discarded in 1970.
