Project history

Built under British project. Successful ships with good seaworthiness for their dimensions.

Modernizations

1908 - 1911, all: boilers were converted to burn oil.

1915 - 1918, all survived: - 2 x 1 - 57/43, 1 x 1 - 47/40, 1 x 1 - 450 TT; + 2 x 1 - 76/40 A1916, 1 x 1 - 13.2/76

Naval service

Perseo was lost 6.2.1917 as result of collision with sister-ship Astore off Stromboli.
