Project history
Design of Ansaldo. Steel-hulled. First four boats had 3 300hp Fiat diesels. On remaining it was supposed to install Ansaldo diesels which, however, have appeared unsuccessful and machinery similar applied on "II" type boats was applied. Part of boats had 37mm MG instead of TTs.
The order for 24 more similar boats was cancelled in September, 1943.
