Project history

Type "Baglietto class 500, 2nd series": lengthened version of 1st series. In addition to main Isotta-Fraschini engines they had 2 70hp Alpfa-Romeo or 50hp Carraro petrol engines for cruising. Endurance under cruising motors was 1100(6)nm. One boat of series, MAS550, was metal-hulled instead of wooden sister-boats and was a little bit less at the expense of what she had higher speed.
