Project history

Built for service on Caspian sea. Round-bilge hull, boats had light bulletproof armour. Boats were supplied to Khorramshahr in November, 1932, whence transported to Caspian sea overland where they were ultimately completed at Bandar-Pehlevi in 1933. They served as a prototype for ordered in Italy motor boats of Azar class in 1955.

Modernizations

1946, as rearmed in Soviet service, all were armed with 1 x 1 - 45/46 21K, 1 x 1 - 12.7/78

Naval service

27.8.1941 all were captured at Bandar-Pehlevi by Soviet troops and 23.9.1941 were commissioned by Soviet Navy as SKA-1-3, since 22.11.1941 SKA-200-202, in 1946 they were returned to Iran and commissioned again on Caspian sea.
