Project history

Original midget submarine with a full-track propulsion for self-supporting descent from a land on water. Building was begun in March, 1944. On trials she reached 21m diving depth and 8kts submerged speed, but low power of a diesel and insufficient breadth of caterpillars, because of what on a soft ground the boat sticked, have come to light.

Modernizations

None.

Naval service

The pre-production model was blown up in Lübeck in the end of war.
